Dot NAME Domains

Set up in 2001, the .NAME gTLD is the sole TLD meant for personal web pages only. These domain names can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other titles people are known by. Initially, solely 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you desired to register john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Existing 3rd-level domains remained active.

Through our firm, you can reserve your dot NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the chance to modify the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our company if you have its EPP transfer code from the present registration provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been done. There are no specific stipulations on who can purchase a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the goal behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.
